Regarding the process of outdoor furniture production, today we introduce you to another important step in the production of furniture “drilling”, which consists of drilling holes for screws in the outdoor furniture material as well as draining holes in two different processes.Before drilling holes for furniture materials, in order to avoid cracks and deformations during the drilling process, the skilled workers in our furniture factory will treat the processing materials before drilling. According to the different processing materials to choose the appropriate drill and production equipment, for metal materials such as aluminum or stainless steel, usually use with high wear-resistant drill, while the wood use a special wood drill.

Screw hole drilling: As the components of outdoor furniture are basically connected by screws to ensure a solid structure. In this step, the factory uses professional drilling machines or CNC machine tools to accurately position the drilling holes according to the design drawings to ensure that the size, depth and position of the holes are precise. This is crucial for later assembly, which usually requires adjusting the drilling tools and processes according to different materials (e.g. aluminum alloy, steel, wood, etc.).

Drainage hole drilling: In the production process of outdoor furniture, especially in the part of cushion, table top or other carrying items, drainage holes are usually needed to prevent rainwater from accumulating and prolong the service life of the furniture. The factory will rationally arrange the location, number and diameter of drainage holes during design according to the furniture's usage scenarios and drainage needs. The holes for drainage holes are usually drilled with special round or oval drill bits to ensure smooth water flow.
